Society fashions sex workers as “canaries” by making us the first targets of so many new technologies of surveillance and exclusion.

Clinical psychologist and sex therapist Dr. David Ley has long been critical of the sex addiction framework, and wrote the book The Myth of Sex Addiction to explain why. I sat down with him to explore why sex addiction is a problematic concept, and how it contributes to whorephobia.

Sex work as a sociopolitical issue is used as a scapegoat to avoid addressing larger issues like poverty and violence against femmes. Sex work is not the problem and trying to make it disappear makes the problems worse.

We should treat our bodies and our homeland as a temple as much as we can, otherwise let your health or quality of living become unsustainable.

I found myself as a Sex Worker and learned that this is actually my vocation, my "calling" and cherish the relationships I have established with my clients and my Sex Work community, especially my super supportive Bondassage® community, where I am now their Global Master Trainer.
