In November of last year, I finally got back to work. But slipping back into sex work was far more difficult than I’d expected.

Setting up business as an independent sex worker means putting a lot of information about ourselves online: our photos, our carefully-written advertising text, and our working names. This content is valuable because it brings in clients (and income).

At age 35 I quit an unfulfilling corporate job and started sex work as an independent full service kink friendly switch. My early days were filled with wild situations and marked by an utter lack of self preservation.

Sex work as a sociopolitical issue is used as a scapegoat to avoid addressing larger issues like poverty and violence against femmes. Sex work is not the problem and trying to make it disappear makes the problems worse.

In my work as an escort, I’m constantly meeting new people and seeing them naked. You might assume that this means I’m totally body-positive, but it hasn’t worked out that way.
