Regarding our recent outage. You can find an official statement below. The last documented time Cloudflare terminated services was when they terminated the account of a white supremacist website last year. We are waiting on answers.

@switter how is this affecting the iOS app? Can’t log in there but I can on google
@switter The latest I'm aware of was actally Sci-Hub which was terminated due to Section 15 (b) of the Terms of Service: requests by law enforcement or other government agencies. The same may apply here. 15(g) and 15(j) also may have been in play https://torrentfreak.com/cloudflare-terminates-service-to-sci-hub-domain-names-180205/
@switter The battle continues! Thanks for the update. And thank you for being aggresive in helping to fight against this kind of tyranny.

@switter LOL, I will just leave this here

@switter Expected outcome of using a US based CDN. They cannot defy federal law. Is the new CDN offshore?
@Erdichan @switter Looks like it's https://www.cdn77.com which is UK based.
@switter wow! And, congrats on getting back online so quickly.
@sofiacoltrane @switter well you really can't blame them as a US company. This site, switter.at is no longer using cloudflare...dns points to an ip belonging to Mammoth Media Pty of Australia now.
@sofiacoltrane see my recent boost "Regarding out recent outage"
@S2H just read it and I'm very schocked 😳😩😡😡
@sofiacoltrane The good news is they found a CDN (content delivery network & anti DDOS) company in Oz
@switter they banned nazis then the owner felt bad about it and decided nazis are actually ok
@switter
Switch to bitninja? Or is there some non USA based equivalent?
@switter Cloudflare terminated the DNS? Good reason not to use them in the future then. Thanks for the updates!
@switter - I somewhat doubt that you will ever hear back from Cloudflare. They picked an ambiguous reason to terminate your service so that they wouldn't have to defend it.
@goslingone I don't know if you'll see an official corporate statement, but the CEO of Cloudflare just weighed in: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=16876395
@ocdtrekkie - That seems like a worthwhile comment from the CEO. It's just odd that they threw switter under the bus, but not other sites.
@switter It's probably for the best, though, isn't it? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@switter The CEO of Cloudflare's personal opinion: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=16876395
@switter hey. just dont fucking use cloudflare.
Relaying onfor-profit, US based third party to serve a security layer is imo crazy.
@switter we appreciate your diligence and providing this service.
@switter well fuck them and their rows of lava lamps
