@switter Just to make my position clear to any switter creators and admins: I very much appreciate everything you have done so far. However, I am 100% not okay with #reviews being allowed here. They are a serious liability for anyone in the US or anyone who ever wants to be able to (or who might need to!) enter the US at any point during their lives - from either side of this business. I will have no choice but to leave switter if reviews are allowed here. #review
@ValentinaVoluptua I'd like to understand. what is your experience? How are they abused?
@sophiaduvall @switter we are NOT allowing reviews. also, the verification system is currently down while we figure out a better system that does not require photos. this community is FOR WORKERS, not clients. our needs will ALWAYS come first. 💝 🤓 🌟 🌈 #themoreyouknow
@omgheatherjana @switter thank you for making that crystal clear - much appreciated! I have been a bit confused about what I saw posted regarding Lola Hunt's potential/forthcoming poll about reviews on this platform.
@sophiaduvall @switter is a community designed by and for sex workers. we will always put our needs ahead of clients'. the possibility of allowing reviews WAS discussed/debated, but the overwhelming consensus seems to be that they're not necessary/wanted. (i personally believe this as well.) we are a community here, debate and discussion is very (VERY!) much encouraged. 💋 💝 🌈 🌟
@omgheatherjana @switter @sophiaduvall Something perhaps to consider structurally would be two separate classes of "membership" for providers and clients akin to the way that #Resonate has different classes for musicians and fans.
I could imagine each class electing representatives responsible for representing the interests and communicating the needs of their respective communities to each other.

@mattcropp @sophiaduvall @switter @omgheatherjana this would be a monumental task. i do not think this should be persued.
@mattcropp @sophiaduvall @switter i cannot comment on any possible plans for the future other than to say that we're considering all of this.
@sophiaduvall @switter On the flip side, I've been ripped off by scam artists too many times over the years. Reviews are a way for us hobbyists to find the legit providers and avoid the scammers.
I agree that the graphic descriptive reviews on TER and ECCIE are no longer a good idea.
@sophiaduvall @switter Yes now that i think about it, you are absolutely correct. I was on board but it makes more sense. Great thinking
@sophiaduvall @switter Hey Sophia! @j has just addressed this. We really don't want review culture here. This was just a post by a Switter user. Check out @j's statement and hopefully all your questions should be answered :)
@sophiaduvall @switter - The new "reality" has not yet sunk in for most people. They are still living in the past. But, all that will change in one year from now.
I'm pretty sure reviews have never been allowed. It's explicitly stated in the code of conduct.
@sophiaduvall @switter absolutely #no to #reviews on #Switter so god damned abusive!!!
