I just made an interesting little discovery of benefit to those #Switter users of the Opera browser.
The built-in pseudo-VPN function of the browser is blocking access to Switter, but not to most (or possibly any) other instances in the fediverse. Turn it off and access is unfettered as usual, of course.
It is unsurprising that this type of #censorship is in play, but it may be worth mapping just how many other sex related and/or sex work related sites are also censored.
@e I thought it odd, to say the least, that chaos.social was loading fine, but switter.at wasn't. It's also probably worth checking to see if it drills down to full URLs rather than "just" domains because the Twitter server status account wasn't loading either.
