"The internet NEEDS to be open." Why, exactly? What does "open" mean to the writer? Is the internet capable of "needing" something? Or do WE need it - or WANT it - to be open? Is the writer aware that there are actually already things that are illegal to put on the internet, and very much should be illegal, like snuff films or child porn?
