Got some stretchy Jersey to make summer tops. Despite my irish-scots catholic family and general upbringing, I love Orange. Feel like a traitor, which is so stupidly ridiculous. Anyway. long baseball style tops with orange bodice and raglan sleeves in contrasting white is my plan.

I heard Nick Cave singing a lyric about a "murder of crows" and realised I hate clever collective nouns like that and "a murmuration of starlings." They're just pretentious and redundant when we have a perfectly good word in 'flock.'

Just because they exist in English doesnt mean they're worth using and you will always sound like a dick if you do. I have to tolerate them but I refuse to be pleased about it.

I woke up thinking about River Song meeting the new Doctor. River watches as the Tardis materializes and a young blond woman steps out. River says hello then after a moment "Where is he then?"

The Doctor says "Who's he?"

"The Doctor...?"

"I'm the bloody Doctor." says the Doctor, irked.

River Song shrieks with delight and both women start laughing uncontrollably.

The doctor, catching her breath says "I need your help, come on..." both women run into the Tardis and it disappears.

I know not all atheists are fascists, but there is a heedlessness about a certain kind of atheism that points the way to fascism.

In utilitarian terms there is no reward for protecting those who are weaker or more powerless than you, those atheists, like Gervais are the witless footsoldiers of fascism.

Ricky Gervais becoming neo-Nazis and racists new favourite comedian is a bit unexpected. But he's rolling with it. Proving the whole atheist-fascist connection hasn't weakened any in the past 80 years.
