I just noticed that some are deleting their tweets, sorry they don't go away that easy. There are plenty of sites that track and store and mirror each publicly available tweet...
The best thing to do is use them as disinformation
@vwerner welp they had that whole russia thing from their archive.... so deleting tweets helps but all of it is still there.... LE can easily get it
@KLttyKat Well I can tell you -as I work on the field- that I'm not surprised... deleting data is WAY more expensive than adding additional storage...
And if you go technical, well, ... let's say that there is only one operation harder on a database system than a delete... and that is a rollback
@KLttyKat Also... some social tools (like and owl like one) keep their own archives as they crunch the data for analytics ...
@KLttyKat That too, thought supposedly the archive only contains the last 10000 tweets you made .. (that is what it used to be)
