So tired I read "make a change for standard white *people*"
Seriously was confused and wondered if I missed a "white people" trend for a few.
(Looks yummy though)
RT @LoriShemek@twitter.com Like Cauliflower? Make a change from the standard white. Opt for mult-colored varieties such as purple, orange or green. All offer a diversity of powerful nutrients and an easy way to eat the rainbow. Roast or make a colorful 'mock' mashed potatoes. #health #veggies
@pyramider @KLttyKat Cauliflower is getting a lot of flak lately when it's actually awesome and will regulate men's and women's hormones so you're at peak condition and hornyness
@V_CMT @pyramider oh that sounds awesome :)
@KLttyKat @pyramider If you really can't bring yourself to eat cauliflower or broccoli you can take the same ingredient in pill form, called DIM (I can't remember what the acronym stands for).
Turns out both sexes have two kinds of estrogen, and there's good and bad estrogen, like cholesterol. And the veggies and/or DIM get rid of the bad kind somehow, so you're left with the good kind and testosterone.
@V_CMT @pyramider that sounds good...I do love cauliflower and add it raw to chopped salads to add something different and give it "crunch"
@V_CMT @pyramider I knew that there was "bad estrogen" (ala soy everything) and too much can cause problems.
Didn't think about the good kind taking away the bad kind. it's like HDL and LDL cholesterols
@KLttyKat @pyramider Yep I forget how it's supposed to work exactly, but it does. It can also shrink your waistline pretty quickly, and keep men from getting moobs.
@V_CMT @pyramider that I did know. too much soy and Man Boobs (also like you said "muffin top")
Don't believe all that stuff about soy. A lot of it was research funded by the beef industry.
@profgrumpypants @KLttyKat @pyramider I would like that to be true, because I used to have a little juice box of vanilla soy milk every day and it was soooooo good
"Most anti-soya stories can be traced back to one single group in the US called the Weston A Price Foundation"
"WAPF claims that saturated animal fat is essential for good health and that animal fat intake and high cholesterol levels have no link with heart disease or cancer. They say that vegetarians have lower life expectancy than meat-eaters, and that historically humans have always eaten large amounts of animal fat"
🙄

@profgrumpypants @KLttyKat @pyramider I don't think that at first the anti-soy thing was about meat eaters vs vegetarians but more like the corn-in-everything concern since like corn it's in everything. Since there's been this whole macho guns god and glory thing going on the past couple of years though I've heard the phrase "soy boy" as an insult for "betas", so it seems to have become more associated with that.
Read the article though. The whole phytoestrogens thing is bunk.
I agree though that we all probably eat too much corn.
@V_CMT @pyramider my brain is so tired I read "standard white people" instead of standard white cauliflower on that tweet. I need sleep.
@KLttyKat @pyramider I can't say enough about tequila.
@pyramider @KLttyKat That's what the lime salt is for
@pyramider @KLttyKat There's a little grit left over at the end
@KLttyKat @V_CMT @pyramider I was just a little confused but figured it out from pic, lol
@KLttyKat
Oh the horrors of cauliflower!!! Taking a photo that makes cauliflower resemble sherbet is just wrong. Someone should have their camera broken.
